May 2012 Tutor Corps Newsletter - Summer Edition

Hi all! Summer is finally here! You survived--and hopefully thrived--this year!
There are a few Tutor Corps reminders and updates I would like to mention:

1. I work in both our Naples office and in Immokalee. Please call me at least one day in advance to make an appointment or if you just want to stop by to say hi. I will make sure to be in Immokalee that day. I would love to see you and don't want to miss your visit!

2. Your Tutor Corps scholarship cannot pay for off-campus housing unless you attend a school where off-campus housing is not provided by that school (for example, Valencia College in Orlando). This is a slight change in Tutor Corps policy.

3. A reminder that it takes about 7 days to process a scholarship request. That means that you should be checking your bills on your student portal frequently and well before the end of the first week of classes! There is a process at Guadalupe Center that I must follow -- please know that I do not have the authority to write or sign checks.

4. New policy: Please send me your grades at the end of every semester whether you are requesting your scholarship funds or not.

5. Thank you!
